Life sometimes feels like a game where no matter how hard you try, you just can’t win. I was thinking about how this unfairness exists everywhere — in society, in relationships, in quiet, invisible systems that decide who gets to move forward and who doesn’t. Some people seem to start ahead, while others keep struggling in circles.

The creature in the middle of the work came from this thought. It looks a bit like a sea monster, something soft but also obstructive — standing between two people who are trying to play rock-paper-scissors. It becomes a barrier, something that turns a simple game into an impossible one.

During the performance, one girl’s arms were hidden under cloth, so the other couldn’t see her move. As the game went on, she grew more and more anxious, trapped in not knowing. That small moment of waiting — not being able to act, not being able to win — is what the whole piece is about.
