My series Busy Doing Nothing comes from small, quiet moments in everyday life — those times when we seem to be doing something, but our minds are somewhere else. There will be more coming soon…

I like noticing these kinds of scenes from my friend:her mom ask her to do the chores, and she looks like mopping the floor, but the whole attention is on her phone. These distracted moments feel very real to me — a mix of humor, laziness, and small chaos.

I turn these fragments into sculpture-like creatures that look both busy and absent-minded at the same time. Their twisted, half-active gestures reflect that scattered state of mind - always moving, but never fully here.
